John may have looked like he was resting soundly, but that wasn’t entirely the case. When he woke up, he did with a bit of a start, which meant that the bed he was currently tethered to jerked somewhat. For a bit he was breathing heavily, but as he became aware of his surroundings, he soon calmed.
